Want Whiter Teeth? Get more confidence in your smile!
Your smile is the first thing others notice about you. It says more about you than any other physical feature.
So, it's important to keep it looking bright...right?
But, with so many alterntaives available for a whiter smile, where do you begin looking for the option that is right for you? At Boston Smile Center we offer you only the best professional options available to brighten your smile. The Opalescence line or professional products has been proven to safely and effectively whiten your teeth.
OTC Alternative
Trèswhite comes in disposable, easy-to-use trays. Simply place the tray in your mouth, adjust the inner tray, and wear it for 60 minutes, once a day. It's that easy.
It is simple and easier to use than supermarket products. And it is a prescripting strength formula at an affordable price. This means more effective results, faster.
Customized
The Opalescence Take-Home System works so well because everything about it is customized. That means it is fit to you - your smile and your lifestyle.
Your dentist first takes impressions of your teeth and then creates a customized tray that fits your mouth, perfectly and comfortable. In addition to these trays, you'll be sent home with syringes of Opalescence gel that containi prescription strength formulations to help whiten your smile each day.
In-Office
Opalescence Xtra Boost is a powerful whitening solution that whitens your smile - fast. The gel is chemically activated rather than light activated, meaning that it activates itself at the time it is placed on your teeth.
Your dentist applies the solution and monitors your progress. You will be in the chair for approximately one hour as they work to revel your brighter smile.
At the end of the procedure, most likely you will be sent home with a take-home product to aid in the continued whitening progress of your smile.
After Care
Keep your teeth white. Once you have a whiter smile, you want to keep it that way. Opalescence Whitening Toothpaste is the perfect way to keep your smile in top form.
Porcelain Veneers
The Veneer Option may be considered for patients: unhappy with the shape of their teeth, with chipped or cracked teeth, with deep stains, and with misaligned and/or open spaces present.
FACTS ABOUT PORCELAIN VENEERS
They increase strength, comfort, and resistance to chipping, cracking, and staining while retaining the appearance of natural tooth structure.
Porcelain laminates are thin shields that are cemented to the front of the tooth.
Porcelain veneers are much stronger and more durable than plastic composite bonding. Sometimes composites will stain or shrink with age. Veneers, on the other hand, retain their beautiful luster and vitality.
There are no age group limitations. Everyone can benefit, young and old alike.

Implant Dentistry (Implantology)
In many situations, dental implants can give back patients their confident smile. The benefits are improved esthetics, the ability to eat comfortably and a clean, healthy oral environment for the patient.
Dental Implants are small prosthetic posts that are placed into the bone of the upper or lower jaw. They act as replacements for the root portion of lost natural teeth and also serve as an anchor for replacement teeth. Dental implants look and feel exactly like natural teeth -- in fact, no one other than you and your doctor will be able to tell the difference. Dental implants are appropriate for almost anyone who is currently missing teeth or is at risk of losing teeth.
There are many different types of dental implants available. We have extensive experience in dental implants and would be pleased to discuss the benefits of implant prosthetics with you. Ask about implant restorative treatment at the time of your consultation.
Ceramic Crowns
When a smile is compromised by teeth that are worn and decayed, broken, or cracked, people notice. This can suddenly cuase us to feel self-conscious and attempt to cover our smiles with pursed lips. The alternative to this social faux pas is all-ceramic crowns.
Ceramic is a durable material that will last successfully, while also retaining a natural appearance. It can be matched to the patient's natural teeth, in terms of color and shape, as well as in translucency. The prosthetic crowns blend inconspicuously with the rest of the mouth, not only hiding the damaged teeth, but bringing a healthy luster to the entire smile.
During the first ceramic crown appointment, the doctor will thoroughly assess and clean the area, fitting a mold over the teeth. This is sent to a lab, the ceramic prosthetics are made, and during the second appointment, the crowns will be double checked for fit, and secured in place. This entire process can usually take about 2 weeks, during which temporary crowns can be applied if desired.

Laser Dentistry
Periodically, a product or technology is introduced into the dental field causing a quantum leap in the treatment process of a particular condition. Not since the introduction of adhesive dentistry more than twenty years ago, that allowed us to perform "bonding" procedures, has a truly exceptional innovation materialized. For this reason, I am very excited to announce that I have incorporated the FDA-approved Waterlase Dental Laser by Biolase Technologies into my practice.
As one of a small group of Boston-area dental offices using this highly sophisticated new laser, I can attest to its ability to improve your long-term oral health. With laser uses, the clinical results are superior to those of traditional dental techniques patients now experience greater comfort and faster recoveries.
Using this state-of-the-art laser technology I can now treat:
- Some cavities without the need for local anesthetic or the dental drill;
- Cold sores with immediate relief,
- Teeth sensitive to cold foods, drinks, sweet and brushing providing immediate relief,
- Some early stage periodontal (gum) disease and thus avoiding more invasive surgery;
- Cosmetic gingival (gum) smile-line recontouring;
- Sensitive teeth after gum treatment or surgery.
